About Our Courses

Both are open to complete beginners. The 4-Day Fine Line Masterclass covers fine line technique in a short, intensive block. The 10-Day Complete Beginner Course gives you more time to practise between each step, and includes health & safety certification.
Yes. The 4-day masterclass assumes you are already comfortable using a tattoo machine or dermograph. If you have never used a machine before, the 10-Day Complete Beginner Course is the right starting point.
Most PMU artists book on to the 4-Day Fine Line Masterclass. Your machine experience transfers directly, the course focuses on the specific technique, needle knowledge, and hand control that fine line tattooing demands, as well as the regulatory differences between body art and PMU.
We deliberately keep class sizes small to ensure every student gets direct, personal attention from the instructor throughout the day, not a lecture-theatre experience.
Yes. Both the 4-day and 10-day courses carry full CPD accreditation, recognised across the UK. You will receive a CPD certificate upon completing each course.
We run courses monthly in Manchester, London, Essex, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Dublin. Full venue details are provided upon booking. Contact us to find out the next available dates in your preferred location.

What's Included

Everything you need: a tattoo kit, all needles, inks, practice skins, stencil materials, and your CPD certificate. The 10-day course also includes your Infection Prevention & Control Level 2 certification. There are no hidden extras, no kit upsells, and no additional charges on the day.
Yes. The tattoo kit provided as part of the course is yours to keep. It is a working kit you can use immediately with clients after completing the course.
Absolutely. Live model tattooing is a core part of both courses. You will tattoo real clients under full expert supervision in a professional studio environment. This is what sets our training apart from theory-only or practice-skin-only alternatives.
Yes. The 10-Day Complete Beginner Course includes full Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Level 2 certification. The 4-Day Masterclass covers health & safety requirements relevant to fine line tattooing, though the full IPC certificate is only part of the 10-day course.

Booking & Payment

Use our contact form or message us directly. Let us know which course you're interested in, your preferred location, and any dates that work for you. We'll confirm availability and send you booking details including deposit information.
Yes. You can secure your place with a deposit and pay the remainder before your course date. Contact us to arrange a payment plan that works for you. The full balance must be settled before the first day of your course.

Circumstances change, and we would always rather move you to another date than lose you, so tell us as early as you can and we will try to reschedule first.

If you do need to cancel, we ask for at least 14 working days' written notice. If you have already paid in full, we keep the deposit and refund the rest. If you have only paid the deposit, there is nothing to refund.

The reason the deposit stays with us is that your place already costs us money by the time you have booked it. Your booking goes to our CPD accrediting body, who register you as a student, and we pay that registration fee whether or not you attend. The same applies to your Tattoo Safe registration, the tattoo kit and consumables set aside for you, the admin of taking your date off sale and putting it back again, and the marketing that filled the place to begin with. None of that comes back to us if the place goes unused.

You can move your date once at no extra charge, with the same 14 working days' notice. If you move it and then cancel, we cannot refund the rest either.

If you booked within the last 14 days you also have a statutory right to cancel and get everything back except the deposit, unless your course starts before that period ends. Full details are in our terms and conditions.

With class sizes kept small, spaces go quickly, especially in London and Manchester. We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and location. We do occasionally have last-minute cancellations, so it is always worth asking even for near-term dates.

During the Course

We provide everything you need. Just bring yourself, comfortable clothing (you may be standing for long periods), and a notepad if you like to take written notes. Full pre-course information is sent to you once your booking is confirmed.
Courses run from approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day, though live model sessions may run slightly later depending on the work in progress. Exact timings are confirmed in your pre-course information pack.
Our small class sizes exist precisely for this reason. If you're finding a particular technique challenging, your instructor will work with you directly. The pace adapts to the group: you will not be left behind.
Yes, fully. An experienced instructor is present throughout every live model session. You will not be left to tattoo a client unsupervised at any point. The focus is on your technique, safety, and confidence.

After Completing

The goal of both courses is to get you ready to work with paying clients. The live model sessions, portfolio work, and business strategy modules are all designed with this in mind. Many of our students take their first paid bookings within weeks of completing. The speed depends on you: your practice between sessions, your Instagram presence, and your confidence.
You get lifetime support, a community of Fine Line Tattoo Academy students and instructors. You can share your work, ask technique questions, get feedback, and access ongoing guidance on pricing, business setup, and client management. We don't disappear once you leave the studio.
Yes. In England, Wales, and Scotland, tattooing requires registration with your local authority. The requirements vary slightly by region. We cover the licensing landscape as part of the business module on both courses and can point you in the right direction for your area.
Established fine line artists in the UK typically charge £100–£200+ per hour. At full client capacity, that translates to £300–£600 per day and £3,000+ per week. Fine line tattooing is one of the fastest-growing styles in the UK, with strong demand and clients willing to pay premium rates for quality work.
